You're buying the three handmade small baskets pictured. These were brought
back by my pastors wife from the Dominican Republic from a missions trip people
in our church took recently. These are handmade out of palm pieces by the
village women to try to make money to feed and take care of there children. Our
ministry team bought them for $4.00 apiece from the ladies, they sold them at
our church for $8.00 each, with the money going back to the village women. I
bought these 3 and I am putting them up on eBay today with a asking price of
50 or best offer. I would like to try and make as much money off them as I
can. What ever they sell for, I will donate the money back to our church so we
can also send it back over to the DR to the ladies who made them so they can
continue to help feed their children. Our church group gave an amazing review
on their trip at church showing all the work they accomplished in the DR. Our
church has made several missions trips to the DR over the past few years trying
to teach people to be self-sufficient, one year starting a garden, they now
have chickens and goats, we have repaired homes and, supplied children with
school uniforms, back packs full of school supplies, have thought them simple
medical things about taking care of little medical issues such as colds, or
cuts that here in the states we just take for granted. In this village they
don't even have electricity all the time and water is very sparse. It is just
amazing how our church family is connected with these people that far away and
we are trying to better the situation and it seems to be working. You could
help the cause by buying these baskets, your purchase would be greatly
appreciated. These little baskets would make great gifts for people you know.
